Bishkek, Dec. 12, 2025. /Kabar/. On December 11, in Ashgabat, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov met with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Current issues of Kyrgyz-Turkmen cooperation, including energy cooperation, were discussed.

The dynamic development of bilateral cooperation and the high level of political dialogue between the two countries were noted. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, welcoming President Sadyr Zhaparov to Ashgabat, expressed gratitude for the President of the Kyrgyz Republic's acceptance of the invitation to participate in the forum.

He emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening its partnership with Kyrgyzstan, based on centuries-old friendly ties, shared cultures, and mutual respect. President of Turkmenistan noted the Turkmen side's readiness to further strengthen relations of mutual interest.

In turn, President Sadyr Zhaparov thanked the fraternal Turkmen people for their traditional hospitality and warm welcome. On behalf of the people of Kyrgyzstan and on his own behalf, he congratulated the President and all Turkmen people on these historic dates—the International Year of Peace and Trust and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.

Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan highly values ​​the historically established friendly and fraternal relations with Turkmenistan and views them as a solid foundation for a long-term partnership. He also invited President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the People's Council, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, to pay official visits to Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time.

Sadyr Zhaparov noted that a number of significant international events are planned for Kyrgyzstan next fall and invited President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit and attend the Sixth World Nomad Games as a guest of honor. President of Kyrgyzstan placed particular emphasis on developing cooperation in transport and logistics. He emphasized the importance of the full functioning of international multimodal corridors across the two countries' territories.
