Bishkek, April 27, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States, Edil Baisalov.
During the meeting, Baisalov briefed the president on the results of the Kyrgyz-American political consultations held last week, as well as the results of the talks between the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, and US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized the importance of further developing Kyrgyz-American cooperation and outlined key priorities on the bilateral agenda, including advancing trade, economic, investment, and social and humanitarian cooperation.
The head of state instructed the ambassador to intensify efforts to promote the national interests of the Kyrgyz Republic and strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership with the United States.
During the meeting, Sadyr Zhaparov also assigned Edil Baisalov the additional duties of Special Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic for International Initiatives and awarded him the highest diplomatic rank of Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic.
