Bishkek, July 1, 2025. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov today, June 30, received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin in Cholpon-Ata.
The press service of the head of state said that during the meeting, issues of developing trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and cross-border cooperation between the countries were discussed. As well as the agenda of the upcoming visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Tajikistan.
The head of state noted that thanks to joint efforts, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan managed to give bilateral cooperation a sustainable development dynamic.
Sadyr Zhaparov also recalled that in March of this year, a historic Treaty on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border was signed. In this context, he focused on the need to intensify interaction between the regions of the two countries.
Speaking about strengthening good neighborliness and developing friendly ties between the peoples of the two countries, President Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized the importance of holding joint events in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
In turn, Sirojiddin Mukhriddin expressed his readiness to increase cooperation in all areas, including trade and economic.
In this context, he noted the growth in the volume of mutual trade. The departments of Tajikistan have been tasked with developing new measures aimed at significantly increasing the volume of trade turnover.
Tajikistan's Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin also emphasized that the countries are strengthening cooperation in a multilateral format: within the UN, CIS, SCO, CSTO and other associations.
