Bishkek, March 25, 2026 /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov today, March 25, received the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Feridun Sinirlioğlu.
They discuss issues of developing cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the OSCE, as well as opportunities to expand the organization's project activities in the country to implement joint initiatives, were discussed.
Sadyr Zhaparov highly appreciated the activities of the OSCE Program Office in Bishkek, noting that the organization is currently implementing 22 projects in the country. One of the most successful projects during the organization's activities in the region is the OSCE Academy in the capital.
In turn, Feridun Sinirlioğlu thanked for the warm welcome and noted that under the leadership of Sadyr Zhaparov, Kyrgyzstan has achieved significant progress in socio-economic development in recent years.
He highlighted Kyrgyzstan’s achievements in developing democracy, as well as the wide representation of women in parliament and politics in general.
In addition, Feridun Sinirlioğlu touched upon Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy, which is based on building good-neighborly and trusting relations and adheres to the principles of international law. In this regard, the OSCE Secretary General particularly noted President Sadyr Zhaparov’s contribution to ensuring regional security and cooperation in Central Asia.
As a result, the parties emphasized the importance of resolving all disputed issues peacefully.
