Sadyr Zhaparov receives Russian deputy PM Alexey Overchuk

Bishkek, Nov. 12, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov today, November 11, received Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk.

During the meeting the current bilateral issues were discussed, including trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation.

Sadyr Zhaparov expressed satisfaction with the active dynamics of political contacts between Kyrgyzstan and Russia and congratulated Alexey Overchuk on the successful holding of the regular meeting of the Kyrgyz-Russian Intergovernmental Commission in Bishkek.

Speaking about multilateral cooperation, Zhaparov noted that Kyrgyzstan and Russia continue to actively interact within the framework of integration associations, including the EAEU, CIS, CSTO, and SCO.

Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is a strategic partner and ally for Russia in Central Asia and bilateral cooperation is based on mutual respect, shared history, and trust, and is multifaceted.

Alexey Overchuk also noted the growth in mutual trade and cargo transportation and expressed his readiness to make every effort to strengthen allied relations and steadily develop cooperation with Kyrgyzstan.
