Bishkek, Oct. 10, 2025. /Kabar/. During the working visit to Tajikistan, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov addressed the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting in Dushanbe.
In his address, the head of state noted the significant work was made to strengthen and expand cooperation within the Commonwealth.
He also emphasized the strengthening of the socioeconomic situation in the Commonwealth states, highlighting that this progress is demonstrated by the stable growth of key macroeconomic indicators, infrastructure development, and the region's increased investment attractiveness. These results generally demonstrate the effectiveness of integration mechanisms and simplified trade regimes, confirming consistent progress toward the formation of common economic space, the head of state said.
In conclusion, President Sadyr Zhaparov congratulated Turkmenistan on assuming the CIS Presidency in 2026 and reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan's continued commitment to active and constructive participation in all Commonwealth integration initiatives.
CIS leaders then took part in an expanded meeting, which resulted the signing of documents aimed at strengthening coordination in security, economics, transport, energy, and humanitarian cooperation.
