Bishkek, June 18, 2025. / Kabar /. President Sadyr Zhaparov's participation in the second Central Asia-China summit held in Astana has ended.
First, Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The heads of the two states held a broad exchange of views on the state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations, deepening comprehensive and all-encompassing strategic cooperation.
Following the meeting, a number of bilateral documents were signed.
Then, President Sadyr Zhaparov took part in a meeting of the second Central Asia-China summit at the Independence Palace.
In his speech, he emphasized that, thanks to joint efforts, a huge path has been covered in strengthening friendship and good-neighborliness, establishing and developing a strategic partnership.
The President outlined six key areas for further deepening the strategic partnership with China: transport and transit connectivity, energy, finance and e-commerce, education and science, tourism, and security. Further, following the summit, the heads of state signed and adopted a number of multilateral documents, including
- Treaty on Eternal Good-Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation,
- Astana Declaration of the Second Central Asia-China Summit and others.
In addition, on the sidelines of the Second Central Asia-China Summit, the heads of six states jointly participated in the opening ceremony of new Cooperation Centers via videoconference.
Having completed his participation in the Central Asia-China Summit in Astana, President Sadyr Zhaparov returned to Bishkek on June 17.
