Bishkek, July 10, 2025. /Kabar/. The state visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Zhaparov, to Tajikistan, which took place on July 8-9, has ended.
On the first day of the visit, President Zhaparov laid a wreath at the monument of the founder of the Tajik state Ismoil Somoni in Dushanbe.
Then, the ceremony of the official meeting of Sadyr Zhaparov and Emomali Rahmon took place.
Following the official ceremony, the leaders held talks in a narrow format. The parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation on a wide range of issues, including the development of social infrastructure in certain areas and strengthening cooperation at multilateral venues.
After the one-on-one meeting, Sadyr Zhaparov and Emomali Rahmon continued their talks in an expanded format. The heads of state held a broad exchange of views on Kyrgyz-Tajik relations, deepening comprehensive cooperation, as well as international and regional issues.
In addition, following the meetings, the leaders signed and exchanged a number of documents that cover a wide range of bilateral cooperation, such as trade, education, industry, tourism and many other important areas. In particular, a joint statement of the presidents was signed.
Then the heads of state took part in the ceremony of resuming the work of the Karamyk and Bordobo checkpoints in the Osh region via video link.
Following the talks with Emomali Rahmon, Sadyr Zhaparov made a statement for the media.
Further, the president spoke at the investment and economic forum of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, which was attended by about 500 business representatives of the two countries.
On the sidelines of the forum, many mutually beneficial contracts were signed between business structures of the two countries.
Along with this, the leaders of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan visited the National Exhibition of Products in Dushanbe, where they got acquainted with the expositions presenting achievements in various industries of the two countries.
As part of the cultural part of the visit and the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in Tajikistan, the presidents attended a concert of artists "Eternal Friendship".
On the second day of the visit, Sadyr Zhaparov held talks with Chairman of the National Council - the upper house of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan, Rustam Emomali, where they discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and the promotion of the inter-parliamentary vector.
Then President Zhaparov met with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda.
Sadyr Zhaparov also held talks with Prime Minister of Tajikistan, Kokhir Rasulzoda. At the meeting, the head of state noted that the documents signed during the visit, as well as the work carried out by the governments, lay an unshakable foundation for the eternal friendship of the two countries and peoples.
On July 9, having completed the state visit to Tajikistan, the head of state returned to Bishkek.
