Bishkek, April 1, 2025. /Kabar /. The working visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Tajikistan, which took place on March 31, has ended.

President Sadyr Zhaparov held one-on-one talks with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The leaders of the two countries discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation, including interaction in the trade, economic, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Then President Sadyr Zhaparov and President Emomali Rahmon took part in the signing ceremony of the Protocol on the exchange of Instruments of Ratification.

The heads of state expressed confidence that this agreement will become a solid foundation for comprehensive cooperation between the two countries and will serve as an example of political maturity, brotherhood and historical responsibility for future generations.

The leaders of the two countries also took part in the ceremony to launch the 500 kV Datka-Sughd line as part of the CASA-1000 project via videoconference.

During the visit, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held trilateral talks.

The heads of state discussed current issues of regional cooperation, emphasizing the importance of strengthening good-neighborly relations, joint implementation of infrastructure and economic projects, and expanding the region's tourism opportunities.

The presidents of the three countries signed the Treaty on the Junction Point of the State Borders of the Three States and the Khujand Declaration on Eternal Friendship.

The heads of state emphasized that the signing of these documents symbolizes respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries, and also serves as an example of constructive dialogue and effective cooperation in Central Asia.

In addition, the leaders of the states took part in the opening ceremony of a symbolic stele installed at the junction point of the state borders of the three countries. The ceremonial event was held via videoconference from Khujand.

Then, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov met with President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Khujand.

The heads of state discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on key aspects of the regional agenda.

Then, as part of cultural events, the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan visited the Khujand Fortress, where they took part in festive events dedicated to Nooruz. The heads of state got acquainted with folk crafts, agricultural products, national cuisine and cultural traditions, and also visited the museum and concluded their visit to the fortress by watching a theatrical performance.

The final event was a concert program with the participation of cultural and art figures from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, dedicated to the international holiday of Nooruz at the central stadium of Khujand.

Having completed his working visit, President Sadyr Zhaparov arrived in Bishkek on March 31.
