Bishkek, June 24, 2026 /Kabar/. The Shamshy Reservoir in Kochkor district is scheduled to be commissioned in 2026, announced President Sadyr Zhaparov.
"This reservoir will facilitate the efficient supply of water to the district's agricultural sector. Construction of clean water supply systems is underway in four villages, and projects to provide drinking water to eight more settlements have been prepared," the head of state emphasized.
As a reminder, on June 23, during a working visit to Naryn region, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov reviewed the socio-economic development of Kochkor district.
