Bishkek, July 30, 2026 /Kabar/. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on a state visit today, July 30.
The distinguished guest was met at Issyk-Kul International Airport by Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov.
After Shavkat Mirziyoyev disembarked, girls in traditional Kyrgyz costumes presented him with traditional treats, boorsoks and honey, symbolizing hospitality and respect for guests.
A corridor of honor consisting of members of the Honor Guard Company formed a line in the station square. Further along the presidents' route, participants in the ethnographic composition "Salburun" berkutchi with falcons and taigans presented the ancient traditions of Kyrgyz national hunting.
Artists from the Shattyk Folk Dance Ensemble performed Kyrgyz national dances against a backdrop of yurts, symbolizing the traditional way of life of the nomadic people.
A special feature of the ceremony was a composition featuring armored horsemen and Alp warriors, personifying the fortitude, courage, and historical heritage of the Kyrgyz people.
The Kambarkan Folklore and Ethnographic Ensemble named after Chalagyz Isabaev performed Kyrgyz and Uzbek melodies, emphasizing the atmosphere of friendship, mutual respect, and good neighborliness between the two fraternal peoples.
The ceremony concluded with a theatrical ethnographic performance, set against the backdrop of two semi-yurts decorated in national style. The artists performed scenes reflecting Kyrgyz hospitality, family values, and the traditions of hosting guests.
During his state visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold one-on-one and extended meetings with Sadyr Zhaparov, and will also participate in an informal Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian states and Azerbaijan in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul Region.
