Bishkek, May 29, 2026 /Kabar/. Participants of the international Silk Road Rally autotourism expedition, which set off from Germany, have arrived in Osh.
According to the municipality, 16 foreign tourists in 8 cars traveled through Europe and Central Asia along the route of the Great Silk Road.
The main goal of the expedition is to develop tourism and cultural ties between the countries, promote the tourism potential of Central Asia, and popularize the historical significance of the Great Silk Road.
The expedition participants were ceremoniously welcomed by Osh Mayor Zhanarbek Akayev. The guests were presented with commemorative gifts.
Following the meeting, the Silk Road Rally participants donated five of the eight cars they had used on their journey to the city. Afterward, the tourists continued their journey to Turkey by air.
