Bishkek, Dec. 4, 2025. /Kabar/. 30 MW solar power plant is being built on 11 hectares of land in Tash-Kumyr city, Jalal-Abad oblast administration reports.
Earlier, the presidential representative Tilek Tekebaev was informed about the construction work of the plant. This facility is one of the first large-scale solar power projects being implemented in Jalal-Abad oblast. The project is being implemented by GRK Solar Energ company. The cost of the project is $ 20 million. The area where the solar power plant is being built was previously located in coal mines. Currently, these lands have been fully restored and adapted for industrial and commercial use. Construction work is being carried out in the restored areas, while complying with environmental requirements.
The head of the oblast Tilek Tekebaev noted that this project is a comprehensive solution aimed at solving energy problems, as well as ensuring socio-economic development and environmental safety.
