In the coming months, construction of solar power plants is planned to be completed in Issyk-Kul Oblast of Kyrgyzstan, after which they will be commissioned, Ularbek Duisho uulu, Deputy Director General for Commercial Affairs at the National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan, told on the Elden Sobol program at Kabar.
According to him, due to the growing electricity consumption in the country, the ministry is pursuing an appropriate energy policy and implementing new projects in the sector.
"The Ministry of Energy has its own policy regarding the growth of electricity consumption. If all goes well solar power plants will be launched this year.
In the coming months, construction of solar power plants will be completed in Issyk-Kul Oblast, and we will commission them this year. We expect to eliminate the electricity shortage through such projects," he noted.
