Bishkek, Aug. 24, 2026. /Kabar/. According to the latest analytical data from the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), Kyrgyzstan's GDP increased by 11.1% in the first seven months of 2026. Analysts believe that despite the challenging external environment, including rising energy prices, the economy has sufficient resilience to maintain positive growth in gross domestic product.

In this context, government measures to curb rising oil prices are noteworthy. The country exports over 90% of its consumption. By subsidizing suppliers, the government covers the difference between purchase prices and the cost of fuel at Kyrgyz gas stations. The difference per liter of fuel, depending on the brand, ranges from 25 to 37 soms. This represents a significant sum on a national scale. However, the authorities are supporting the population and businesses to curb inflation, as a precipitous rise in consumer prices could cause much more serious damage to the country.

Experts note that the overall economic situation in Kyrgyzstan is stable and predictable. The Cabinet is managing external pressure, allowing the main drivers, the construction sector, the growing manufacturing industry, and trade to maintain stability and positive momentum.

EDB analysts expect Kyrgyzstan's GDP growth to exceed 10% by 2026.
