Bishkek, May 16, 2026 /Kabar/. The Sulaiman-Too National Historical and Archaeological Museum Complex is hosting a temporary exhibition of gold and silver coins, as well as monetary units from various historical periods, to mark Money Day.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy, the main goal of the exhibition is to promote the history of the national currency, develop an understanding of the value of money, and improve financial literacy among young people.
Representatives of the Osh Regional Branch of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, employees of local commercial banks, students, and the director of the Sulaiman-Too Museum, Mederbek Aparkhanov, attended the event. Participants viewed the rare coins and commemorative banknotes on display and expressed particular interest in their historical and cultural significance.
The exhibition has generated significant public interest and is helping to increase interest in the history of the national currency(som).
