Tajik cinema days kick off in Bishkek

Bishkek, May 18, 2026 /Kabar/. Tajik Cinema Days kicked off at the Ala-Too Cinema as part of the Tajik Culture Days in the Kyrgyzstan.

The opening ceremony was attended by cultural representatives from both countries, creative intellectuals, and official delegations from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, Mirbek Mambetaliev, and the Minister of Culture of Tajikistan, Sattoriyon Matlubakhon Amonzoda made welcoming speech.

Mirbek Mambetaliev noted that the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, are strengthening socioeconomic relations, as well as cultural and creative cooperation between the two countries. He also recalled that a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Tolomush Okeev Kyrgyzfilm and Tajikfilm in 2022.

Three films will be shown to audiences during the Days of Tajik Cinema: "Life is Beautiful," "The Tale of Rustam," and "The Path of Wrath."

In addition, concert performances, art exhibitions, and creative and academic meetings are planned.
