Tajik president arrives in Tashkent for state visit

On March 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, arrived in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on a state visit. Khovar reported.

At Tashkent-Humo International Airport, the distinguished guest, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, was greeted with special honor and warmth by the host country’s leader, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

In honor of the state visit of President Emomali Rahmon, the airport grounds were festively decorated.

The national flags of both countries were raised, and banners and slogans dedicated to the friendship between the peoples of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were displayed.

The state visit of President Emomali Rahmon will take place on March 26–27 in Tashkent and Bukhara. The program includes high-level meetings and negotiations, the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, the signing of a significant number of new cooperation documents, an interregional business forum, and a number of cultural events, including an Evening of Friendship and the Days of Tajik Culture in Uzbekistan.
