Bishkek, May 8, 2026 /Kabar/. CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov met with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key aspects of the Organization's activities and the schedule of upcoming events. Taalatbek Masadykov briefed his counterpart on the results of his meetings with the leadership of CSTO member states in the first half of 2026, as well as the implementation of the decisions of the November 2025 session of the Collective Security Council and priority areas during Russia's chairmanship.
The interlocutors focused on preparations for the meeting of the Committee of Security Council Secretaries scheduled for May 26 and other pressing issues of regional stability. This year, Russia's CSTO chairmanship is being held under the motto "Collective Security in a Multipolar World: Common Goal, Shared Responsibility."
