The American company Tesla has unveiled a new electric sports car, the Roadster, capable of lifting off the ground. Lenta.ru reports.
During the demonstration, the vehicle rises, flips in the air, and lands back on the ground on its wheels.
According to company CEO Elon Musk, the vehicle equipped with special thrusters powered by compressed air can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in less than a second. Production of the Roadster model is scheduled to begin in 2028.
Previously, Musk noted that there are several challenges involved in deploying autonomous vehicles on public roads. With the goal of extending the operational time of "robotaxis" to 23 hours a day, developers are working to address issues such as preventing the vehicles from hitting cats at night.
