Bishkek, Sept. 29, 2026 /Kabar/. On September 28, Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev met with Abdullah Eren, Chairman of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
According to the ministry, the meeting focused on the further development of Kyrgyz-Turkish cultural and humanitarian cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
The parties noted the creation, with the support of TIKA, of a permanent exhibition dedicated to the work of the great thinker, linguist, and scholar Mahmud Kashgari, "Diwanu Lugat at-Turk," at the Kurmanjan Datka Center for Nomadic Civilization.
It was noted that the exhibition is one of the significant projects reflecting the historical and cultural ties between the Kyrgyz and Turkish peoples.
Mirbek Mambetaliev emphasized the importance of joint initiatives to preserve and promote cultural heritage and expressed gratitude to TIKA for its support in strengthening the material and technical infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan's cultural institutions and conducting restoration work.
Furthermore, they exchanged views on the modernization of historical and cultural sites and museums, as well as the implementation of new joint projects.
In turn, Abdullah Eren noted that Kyrgyzstan is one of TIKA's important partners and reaffirmed his readiness to continue supporting cultural and educational projects aimed at strengthening friendly ties between the two countries.
