Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2026. /Kabar/. On January 18, a train accident involving two passenger trains occurred near the town of Adamus in the south of the Kingdom of Spain, killing at least 39 people and injuring more than 120.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that, according to preliminary information from the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Spain, there are currently no Kyrgyz citizens among the dead or injured. The Embassy in France has not received any requests for assistance from Kyrgyz citizens.
Ministry and the Embassy continue to maintain contact with the competent Spanish authorities and are monitoring the situation.
