Bishkek, June 25, 2025. /Kabar/. There is a decrease in the unemployment rate in Kyrgyzstan. This is evidenced by the results of the integrated sample survey of household budgets and the labor force, conducted by the National Statistical Committee in 2024.
According to the survey, in 2024 the number of the labor force aged 15 and older amounted to 2.9 million people, of which 2.8 million were employed and more than 104 thousand were unemployed.
At the same time, the number of employed people aged 15 and older increased by 4 percent compared to 2023, while the number of unemployed, on the contrary, decreased by 7 percent.
The number of employed men (1.7 million) in the total number of employed in the economy exceeded the number of employed women (1.1 million).
In 2024, the employment rate of the population as a whole was 57 percent, exceeding the same indicator of the previous year by 0.8 percentage points. Among men, the employment rate was 72%, this figure is higher than among women - 43%.
The unemployment rate was 3.7 percent and compared to 2023 decreased by 0.4 percentage points.
