US commends Kyrgyzstan-Tajikistan border agreement
Bishkek, March 15, 2025. /Kabar /. The United States praised Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic for their historic agreement to delineate and demarcate their border.
The State Department’s spokesperson, Tammy Price, noted that the accomplishment reflected the commitment of both governments to diplomacy and regional stability.
Price said that settling border disputes “is one of the most difficult diplomatic tasks a government can undertake,” commending both sides for their determination to overcome obstacles.
The US expressed hope that the agreement would pave the way for robust trade, stronger people-to-people ties, and increased prosperity and peace for the countries and the wider region.
