Bishkek, March 13, 2025. /Kabar /. We agreed to continue an active political dialogue on a permanent basis on a full range of issues of mutual interest, President Sadyr Zhaparov said following talks with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
"I would like to note with great satisfaction the historic results of the state visit of the president of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Kyrgyz Republic.
I am confident that the detailed talks that took place will contribute to the further development of bilateral cooperation.
We declare our firm determination to raise Kyrgyz-Tajik relations to a qualitatively new level in the interests of the fraternal peoples of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan.
The results of the state visit of the President of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Sharipovich Rahmon, allow us to look with optimism at the development of Kyrgyz-Tajik relations,” said Sadyr Zhaparov.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in Bishkek on March 12 for a state visit. As part of the state visit of the Tajik president to Kyrgyzstan, Zhaparov and Rahmon signed an agreement between the two countries on the state border. A total of 16 documents were signed aimed at increasing Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation.
