Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2026 /Kabar/. The kokpar competition began today at the Kok-Boru Arena in Cholpon-Ata as part of the 6th World Nomad Games.
Three matches were held that day, with the following results:
- Kyrgyzstan: 12 vs. Mongolia: 1
- Russia: 11 vs. Hungary: 1
- Uzbekistan: 4 vs. Afghanistan: 1
Note that the teams from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Uzbekistan emerged victorious in the matches.
As a reminder, the 6th World Nomad Games are being held in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026. The opening ceremony of the Games took place in the Bishkek Arena in the capital on August 31. The Games are being held in the Issyk-Kul Region from September 1 to 6. More than 3,000 athletes from 109 countries are participating.
