Issyk-Kul, Sept. 6, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan took first place in the overall medal table of the 6th World Nomad Games, winning 72 medals, including 30 gold, 29 silver, and 13 bronze, Kubanych Ermekov, Head of the High Performance Sports Analysis and Development Department at the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, told at a press conference.
According to him, the Kazakhstan national team is in second place with 64 medals (29 gold, 16 silver, 19 bronze medals), and Russia is in third place with 34 medals (7 gold, 7 silver, 20 bronze).
The 6th World Nomad Games were held in Kyrgyzstan from Aug. 31 to Sept. 6, 2026, with the main competitions taking place in the Issyk-Kul region. More than 3,000 athletes from 109 countries participated in the Games.
