Bishkek, Aug. 31, 2026. /Kabar/. Thanks to our joint efforts, China-Kyrgyzstan relations are developing. Chinese President Xi Jinping stated this during a wide-ranging conversation with President Sadyr Zhaparov as part of his state visit.
According to the Chinese leader, China is a close neighbor and comprehensive strategic partner of Kyrgyzstan.
In his speech, he also sincerely congratulated the Kyrgyz people on the Independence Day of Kyrgyzstan on behalf of the Chinese people and wished the country prosperity and development.
“I am glad to come to beautiful Kyrgyzstan after seven years. I believe that under your leadership, the construction of a new Kyrgyzstan will definitely achieve new achievements. Thanks to our joint efforts in recent years, China-Kyrgyzstan relations have achieved development, and cooperation in all fields is flourishing.
Many projects such as the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway have been developing steadily, making effective contributions to the development of the two countries, benefiting the majority of the people, and ensuring regional peace, stability and prosperity,” Xi Jinping said.
At the invitation of President Sadyr Zhaparov, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Kyrgyzstan the day before, on August 30.
The Chinese leader is expected to attend the ceremonial events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of independence, the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and other events.
