Bishkek, May 28, 2026. /Kabar/. Competitions in 43 sports are planned for the VI World Nomad Games (WNG 2026), with 395 athletes from Kyrgyzstan and 263 from other foreign countries. Urmat Asanbaev, Director of State Agency for Physical Education and Sports told Kabar.
According to him, total of 2,800-3,000 athletes will participate in sports events within the framework of WNG 2026.
“Official regulations have been sent to 100 countries to participate in sports events of WNG 2026. In total, competitions will be held in 43 sports, 20 of which will be our national sports, and the rest will be foreign sports. Basically, sports competitions will be held in 5 locations across the country,” Asanbaev said.
The negotiations are currently underway with the parties on the rules for holding the national game “Kok-Boru” and information will be provided as a result of those negotiations.
In addition, Bayra company won the national clothing competition and will sew clothes in the national color that will be worn at the opening ceremony of Games. It was added that the JOMA company won the competition for the production of sportswear.
