592 citizens evacuated from Middle East to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 17, 2026. /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov ordered the repatriation of Kyrgyz citizens, and on March 14, 142 Kyrgyz citizens were returned to their homeland on a special evacuation flight from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Qatar. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, another 24 citizens returned to Kyrgyzstan via Istanbul.

Total of five special evacuation flights were organized, bringing 592 Kyrgyz citizens back to the country from Riyadh, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain. In addition, over 3,000 citizens returned to Kyrgyzstan on scheduled flights.

According to the Ministry, the main transit points for repatriation are Riyadh and Jeddah. Flights are operated by Flydubai, Pegasus Airlines, Flynas, and Turkish Airlines.

Ministry of foreign affairs urged citizens to limit travel to Middle Eastern countries until the situation fully stabilizes.
