Bishkek, Feb. 12, 2026 /Kabar/. Solar power plant with total capacity of 105 MW will be built on 200 hectares in Sary-Tash village, Too-Moyun rural municipality, Aravan district, Osh region.

According to Osh oblast administration, during a working visit to the Aravan district, Osh governor Amankan Kenjebaev inspected the allocated land plot and heard information from relevant experts.

The plant will be built with funding from foreign investors. The total cost of the project is $65 million.

The first phase is scheduled to begin in the spring, with the installation of panels with a capacity of over 15 MW. In the second phase, construction will be fully completed, bringing the total capacity to 105 MW. A total of approximately 450,000 solar panels are planned to be installed.

It is also expected that 35 local residents will be provided with permanent jobs. The regional governor expressed support for the investors' initiative and noted that comprehensive assistance will be provided for the project's implementation.
