Bishkek, March 11, 2026 /Kabar/. About 3 thousand Kyrgyz citizens returned home due to the situation in the Middle East, director of the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Seitek Zhumakadyr uulu told during a briefing.

He noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to return citizens to Kyrgyzstan. The arrival of the remaining citizens is expected in the coming days.

“Of those who have already returned to Kyrgyzstan, 426 citizens arrived on free flights organized by the state. The rest flew in on their own,” he said.

It should be noted that it was previously noted that there are about 22 thousand Kyrgyz citizens in Middle Eastern countries.

In addition, there are about 100 Kyrgyz citizens in Iran and 97 in Israel. Most of them have dual citizenship. So far, no requests for evacuation have been received from them. Kyrgyz consulate is operating in Iran, and an honorary consul in Israel. It was reported that constant contact is being maintained with citizens there and information is being received.
