Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2025 /Kabar/. The reduction of bureaucracy has become a key focus for maintaining sustainable economic growth, said Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev in his interview with television channels.
During the interview, the head of the Cabinet summarized the past year and highlighted the government's key achievements.
According to him, last year the country's president set a number of priority objectives, including maintaining gross domestic product growth at no less than 9 percent, attracting investment, and, above all, improving the population's standard of living.
Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that these were the main areas of his work. He recalled the strategic development program for 2021–2026, whose objectives were achieved ahead of schedule. Furthermore, development program through 2030 was developed and approved by presidential decree.
Cabinet head emphasized that maintaining high rates of economic growth is becoming more difficult with each passing year, making the issue of reducing bureaucracy a top priority. Work in this area focused on three main areas: a re-examination of all regulatory legal acts, streamlining the powers of government agencies due to overlapping functions, and revising legal norms aimed at protecting high-level executives to ensure the robust implementation of reforms.
As part of this work, the interdepartmental commission held five meetings. Following these meetings, amendments were made to 39 laws and an additional 19 draft laws were prepared. The remaining documents, as Adylbek Kasymaliev noted, will be reviewed in coming days.
