Bishkek, April 20, 2026. /Kabar/. The gross domestic product amounted to 428.6 billion soms, an increase of 10.1% compared to the same period last year. This was announced by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev during staff meeting on the results of socioeconomic development for January-March 2026.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, the growth dynamics across the main economic sectors are as follows:
- Construction: +29.6%;
- Services: +7.7%;
- Agriculture: +2.8%;
- Industry: +14.0%.
The chairman paid special attention to the qualitative changes in industrial production. Significant growth was recorded in the production of chemicals (3.1 times), pharmaceuticals (1.6 times), vehicles (+49.5%), and mining (+30.4%). Stable growth was demonstrated by the production of building materials (+39.7%), the food industry (+17.9%), refined petroleum products (+14.6%), and basic metals (+10.5%).
Fixed capital investment during the reporting period amounted to 77.3 billion soms, representing a 25.5% increase. This growth was driven by a 1.2-fold increase in domestic funding sources and a 1.5-fold increase in external sources.
During the staff meeting, Adylbek Kasymaliev also summarized the results of his working visit to Washington, noting the achievement of key agreements with international financial institutions and technology corporations.
The chairman emphasized the need for strict implementation of the budget plan and instructed relevant government agencies to strengthen oversight of the timely completion of spring fieldwork to ensure the country's food security.
Following the meeting, the heads of government agencies were given corresponding instructions to implement the tasks set for the second quarter of 2026.
