Bishkek, April 16, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) Albert Ramdin as part of his working visit to Washington.

According to the Cabinet of Ministers, official negotiations began after a tour of the Organization's headquarters. The chairman visited the main building of the organization, known as the "House of the Americas." This white marble structure, located in the historic center of Washington, D.C., near the White House, is a symbol of unity and cooperation among the countries of the Western Hemisphere.

During the ensuing talks, the parties discussed a range of issues aimed at strengthening Kyrgyzstan's ties with the countries of the American continent.

Adylbek Kasymaliev presented an overview of the country's current socioeconomic development, emphasizing that the country's economy has demonstrated unprecedented growth over the past three years.

One of the topics of the meeting was the Kyrgyz Republic's permanent observer status at the OAS. Adylbek Kasymaliev expressed confidence that this step would open new horizons for political dialogue, the exchange of public administration experience, and socioeconomic cooperation with the countries of North and South America.

In turn, Albert Ramdin warmly welcomed the Kyrgyz delegation to the House of the Americas and congratulated the country's leadership on its impressive economic growth results.

He expressed his full support for Kyrgyzstan's aspirations for closer institutional interaction with the Organization.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to the practical implementation of the initiatives discussed during the meeting.
