Agricultural census to start in Kyrgyzstan from Oct. 20

Bishkek, Oct 2.2025 /Kabar/. The 2025 agricultural census will be held in Kyrgyzstan from October 20 to November 10, the National Statistics Committee said.

The committee noted that this event is key to obtaining up-to-date data on the state of the country's agricultural sector.

277.7 million soms have been allocated from the national budget for the census, along with $55,000 in support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

A staff of 6,791 temporary employees is involved in the census.

1,179 enumerators, who refined the lists of economic entities from May 15 to June 15, 2025;

4,494 census takers, who will collect data from October 20 to November 10;

898 instructor-controllers, who will monitor the quality of the census for 1.5 months;

220 coordinators will provide organizational support for three months.

The majority of the allocated funds will be used to pay staff salaries. The remaining funding will be used to organize and conduct the census.
