Bishkek, March 20, 2026. /Kabar/. An agricultural census has started in Kyrgyzstan on March 20, 2025.

The agricultural census is an important state statistical measure aimed at obtaining up-to-date and reliable information on the state of the country's agriculture.

The census will collect data on:

the availability and use of agricultural land;

the area under agricultural crops;

the number of livestock and poultry;

the availability of agricultural machinery;

the activities of peasant (farm) households and private subsidiary plots.

The results obtained will be used to formulate public policy, develop programs for the agricultural sector, and improve the effectiveness of state support for agricultural producers.

The census will provide an objective picture of the state of agriculture, identify key areas for the sector's development, and improve the quality of management decisions.
