Bishkek, Sept. 28, 2026. /Kabar/. The harvest of agricultural crops continues in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, 562,600 hectares of grain crops have been harvested to date, accounting for 91.1% of the total area. A total of 1,937,600 tons of grain have been harvested, with an average yield of 29.8 centners per hectare. Chui Oblast leads in grain production, with 699,400 tons.
Vegetable crops have been harvested from an area of 43,700 hectares, with the gross yield amounting to 757,200 tons. A total of 671,800 tons of potatoes were harvested, with an average yield of 162.0 centners per hectare. The highest potato production volume was recorded in the Issyk-Kul region, with 257,200 tons.
The melon harvest is 86% complete, with 211,100 tons collected. Cotton harvesting continues in the southern regions of the country. To date, 3,000 tons of cotton have been harvested. The gross oilseed harvest amounted to 8,700 tons.
Furthermore, the sugar beet harvest has begun in the Chui region. The Ministry continues to ensure timely and high-quality harvesting, as well as loss-free harvesting.
