Bishkek, June 6, 2026 /Kabar/. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev held a number of important bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum as part of his working visit to St. Petersburg. At a meeting with St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov, the first deputy Cabinet head conveyed warm greetings on behalf of Kyrgyz Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev.
Daniyar Amangeldiev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan and Russia share a complete understanding, enabling the continued development of fruitful cooperation in the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership. It was noted that the 13th meeting of the Kyrgyz-St. Petersburg Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Cultural Cooperation, which had successfully concluded in April 2025, gave new impetus to bilateral ties.
The first deputy Cabinet head reported that during the current forum, he held approximately 10 productive meetings with the heads of various regions of the Russian Federation. He also emphasized that the Kyrgyz side fulfilled its promise made at last year's forum and, for the first time, presented its own full-fledged national stand at SPIEF, which clearly demonstrates the republic's trade and investment potential.
Continuing the business program, Daniyar Amangeldiev held a working meeting with Veronika Nikishina, General Director of the Russian Export Center (REC), during which the parties discussed prospects for developing trade and economic cooperation and outlined steps to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in transport and medicine.
