First Deputy Chairman of Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers Daniyar Amangeldiev met with Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov as part of a working visit to Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan) on the sidelines of the International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum 2026."
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, during the meeting, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral issues, emphasizing the rapid development of Kyrgyz-Tatar relations.
Daniyar Amangeldiev noted that Kyrgyzstan attaches great importance to expanding interregional ties and views Tatarstan as a leading economic partner. A key topic of discussion was the invitation of Tatarstan to the upcoming World Nomad Games, as well as the Issyk-Kul International Forum, which will be held in Cholpon-Ata this June.
Amangeldiev emphasized that the participation of a delegation and athletes from Tatarstan in the World Nomad Games will be a clear demonstration of the closeness of the cultures and traditions of the two peoples.
During the talks, the parties discussed cooperation in the tourism industry in detail, placing particular emphasis on the development of ski tourism. Given Kyrgyzstan's rich natural potential and Tatarstan's experience in creating modern tourism infrastructure, the parties shared ideas for exchanging experience in this area.
In turn, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed gratitude to Daniyar Amangeldiev for his participation in the forum and conveyed his respects to President Zhaparov, and the Chairman Kasymaliev.
"For us, Kyrgyzstan is a fraternal republic. We are united by history, faith, and traditions. We see great untapped potential in our trade and are ready to actively work to unlock it," Minnikhanov emphasized.
Minikhanov paid special attention to the environmental agenda, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to preserve the snow leopard—a sacred animal for both peoples and a symbol uniting the two republics. He expressed support for Kyrgyzstan's initiatives in protecting biodiversity and high-altitude ecosystems.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their commitment to further deepening their multifaceted cooperation aimed at benefiting the citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Tatarstan.
