Bishkek, June 10, 2026 /Kabar/. Bakyt Torobaev, Special Representative of Kyrgyz president for special assignments, in accordance with the instructions of President Zhaparov, is conducting a comprehensive study of economic potential of regions and working to form an investment portfolio.
Batken region held a meeting where development areas and pressing issues in Batken, Leilek, and Kadamjay districts were discussed.
The meeting was attended by Batken region governor, heads of district state administrations (akims) and city mayors, who presented their prepared projects. Particular attention was paid to agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, clean water, and energy. These areas will have a positive impact on improving the standard of living of the local population and creating new jobs.
Currently, more than 170 investment projects across the country, totaling approximately 460 billion soms, have been proposed and discussed. Bakyt Torobaev noted that the implementation of these initiatives will lead to significant changes in the socioeconomic situation of the regions.
The main goal of this work is to determine the investment potential of each district of the country and transform it into real economic growth through investment projects.
President Zhaparov set specific objectives for systematizing investment projects across the country, forming a high-quality investment portfolio, and effectively utilizing the economic opportunities of each region.
