Bishkek, Aug. 28, 2026 /Kabar/. At the Kyrgyz-Chinese Investment Business Forum "Kyrgyzstan-China: Path to Sustainable Development and Shared Prosperity," took place in Bishkek. The forum witnessed signing ceremony of trilateral public-private partnership agreement aimed to implement the Baytik Mountain Resort project.
According to the State Agency for Tourism Development, National Investment Agency under the President of Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz Tourism Development Support Fund, and Velmont Group LLC signed the agreement.
The project includes the construction of cable cars, ski slopes, hotel complexes, ethno-villages, and entertainment and wellness infrastructure. The initiative will attract foreign tourists, create new jobs, and boost the region's development.
"The signing of the agreement on the Baytik Mountain Resort cluster is an important step in realizing our country's tourism potential. Leveraging the experience and investment of Velmont Group, together with the National Investment Agency and the Tourism Development Fund, will create a world-class facility," noted Eduard Kubatov, Director of the State Agency for Tourism Development.
Additionally, the Tosor International Olympic Sports Complex and the year-round Chatkal Resort ski cluster are among the major tourism projects.
