Bishkek, Dec. 17, 2025 /Kabar/. International Migrants Day was held in Bishkek. The event was organized by the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labor of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the ministry, Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration Bakyt Darmankul uulu emphasized the importance of safe and legal labor migration, as well as the role of private employment agencies in this process.
"Migrants are not just an economic category; they are people, their destinies, and the state's responsibility for their rights and safety," the deputy minister noted.
He added that the higher the professional qualifications of citizens, the higher their salaries abroad and the higher the remittances they can send to their families. He noted that nearly 100,000 Kyrgyz citizens seek pre-departure consultations annually, 17-21% of whom are women, requiring special attention to protecting their rights.
Bakyt Darmankul uulu also noted a positive trend: the number of labor migrants is gradually declining thanks to job growth and economic development within the country.
"During the ceremony, the best private employment agencies were awarded for their high-quality work and contribution to legal labor migration, as well as for implementing modern standards and digitalizing their services," the statement read.
