Speaking at the forum, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uluu noted that the history of our country, the people once again reminds us that the women of Kyrgyzstan have always been strong individuals and have made an invaluable contribution to the development and formation of our state. "We must value and treat women, mothers, wives, sisters and our daughters with great respect. The heaven is under the feet of a mother," the speaker noted.
He said that today the women of Kyrgyzstan work on an equal basis with men, mastering complex professions. Kyrgyzstan today occupies a leading position in observing gender equality. "In the Kyrgyz parliament today, out of 90 deputies, 20 are women.
In the future, the legislative body should focus on adopting laws that protect and support women," the speaker said, noting that the role of women in our society is invaluable.
