Bishkek, Feb. 20, 2026. /Kabar/. Currently 1,567 buses operate in Bishkek, we plan to purchase another 625 buses, Ulanbek Beishenbaev, director of Bishkek department of transport informs.
He explained that 1,567 buses, 350 of them are 12-meter buses, the rest are 10.5-meter buses. According to him, these are considered the largest-capacity buses currently available in Bishkek.
New 95 Yutong buses would be put into service after customs clearance. Once license plates were received, the buses would begin operating immediately.
Regarding the procurement of the 8 meter new buses and the tender, Ulanbek Beishenbaev explained that all procedures would be conducted within the legal framework.
"We will conduct all procedures within the legal framework. We are currently monitoring prices and their technical condition. As we previously noted, these buses must be equipped with air conditioning and accessible for persons with disabilities," he added.
