Bishkek, Dec. 25, 2025. /Kabar/. Small and medium-sized businesses have become one of the key pillars of the country's economy, President Sadyr Zhaparov stated at the 4th People's Kurultai.
According to him, the small and medium-sized business sector demonstrated significant growth in the first nine months of 2025. Output increased by 46.4%, reaching 641 billion soms. The share of SMEs in the gross domestic product increased from 42.6% to 51.7%, and the number of enterprises increased by 12%, reaching approximately 20,000.
President also noted positive trends in employment. The number of people employed in small and medium-sized businesses increased by 5.1%, and currently employs approximately 617,000 people.
"We will continue to create a favorable environment for business, implement transparent and clear regulations, provide stable financial support, and reduce administrative barriers. I am aware of cases of frequent inspections and unfair treatment of entrepreneurs. After the New Year, we will hold a meeting with law enforcement and tax authorities, along with business representatives. Businesses can expect significant benefits," emphasized Sadyr Zhaparov.
