Bishkek, June 11, 2026 /Kabar/. The water from Ak-Buura River sent to Bishkek as part of the regional "Caravan of Unity" project. The ceremony was held in Osh city which brought together representatives of the city government, the public, and youth.
According to the Osh City Hall, one hero and ten ambassadors were previously elected from the city. The honorary mission of the city's hero was entrusted to Akzhol Toktomushov, a candidate for Master of Sports in national wrestling, coach, and winner of the national games.
During the ceremony, he filled a special vessel (koekor) with water collected from Ak-Buura River, after which he departed for Bishkek with the ambassadors.
The delegation will reportedly participate in the opening ceremony of the 6th World Nomad Games, which will take place on August 31 at Bishkek Arena. There, sacred water brought from Osh will be handed over.
According to the project's concept, waters collected from seven regions of Kyrgyzstan will be combined in a single vessel. This will serve as a symbol of unity, national solidarity, and shared national values.
The organizers note that the project aims to popularize the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people, the traditions of nomadic civilization, and strengthen the unity of the country.
