Bishkek, June 19, 2026 /Kabar/. On June 18, Talas region sends water from the Besh-Tash spring as part of the "Caravan of Unity" project dedicated to the 6th World Nomad Games (WNG).
Ermat Jumayev, Talas region governor, regional residents, public representatives, and project participants attended the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ermat Jumayev noted that the pooling of water from different regions of the country symbolizes the unity of the Kyrgyz people, their shared history, and spiritual values.
One batyr (hero) and five ambassadors were selected from Talas region as part of the project. World Boxing Championship bronze medalist Tynystan Alybayev was named the region's batyr.
During the ceremony, he poured water from the source of Besh-Tash lake into a special kokor and departed for Bishkek with the ambassadors. The delegation will present the holy water at the opening ceremony of WNG, which will take place on August 31 at the Bishkek Arena.
The WNG organizers note that waters from all seven regions of Kyrgyzstan will be collected in a single vessel as a symbol of unity, cohesion, and shared national values.
The "Caravan of Unity" project aims to promote the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people, preserve the traditions of nomadic civilization, and strengthen national unity.
The World Nomad Games are an international cultural and sporting event first held in 2014 at the initiative of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan is the author of the concept and initiator of the Games, which aim to preserve, develop, and promote ethnic sports and the traditional culture of the nomadic peoples of the world.
