Bishkek, March 24, 2026. /Kabar/. The construction of the Orto-Tokoy HPP is actively continuing and is entering the final stage.
According to the Ministry of Energy, at this stage, special attention is being paid to the development of additional infrastructure necessary for the power generation of the station.
In particular, work is underway to organize access roads to deliver construction materials and special equipment to the installation sites of 110 kV overhead power lines.
At the same time, excavation and preparation of pits for the foundations of the pillars are being carried out. These works are an important stage for the reliable connection of the HPP to the power system.
The work on pouring concrete into the monolithic structures of the intake shaft, digging the derivation tunnel, refining the inserts for installing the stator No. 1 of the generator, and installing the lower crossbars of the unit has been completed.
Currently, work is underway to strengthen the banks of the outflow channel, install pipes of the technical water supply system, as well as water treatment and filtration equipment.
As noted, the Orto-Tokoy HPP will be commissioned this year, which will allow increasing the volume of electricity generation and increasing the reliability of energy supply.
