Bishkek, Aug. 17, 2026 /Kabar/. The construction of the “Nomad World” ethno-village in the Kyrchyn pasture is nearing completion, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy Askaraly Madaminov told Kabar.
According to the Deputy Minister, there are sometimes delays in the construction schedule due to weather conditions.
“This new technology, working with clay, is also affecting the progress of construction. Children are working day and night. Despite the sometimes heavy rains, the workers continue to work in their raincoats. When it rains, welding work is stopped, but working with clay continues,” he said.
He noted that two thematic towns will operate in the Kyrchyn pasture. One will be for craftsmen, the other for ethno-food courts. Various competitions and festivals will be held in both towns, and craftsmen will hold master classes. The deputy minister noted that the program will be interesting and informative for tourists and visitors.
According to Askaraly Madaminov, 42 yurt-type houses will be placed in the food court zone. Each restaurant or catering establishment will offer its own menu. Guests will be able to taste various national dishes, and competitions and other events will be held among chefs.
And the artisans' town will have 22 houses. In addition, interactive zones will be organized where craftsmen will hold master classes, introduce guests to their products, and demonstrate various types of crafts.
In a separate part of the territory, yurt towns from seven regions of Kyrgyzstan and the cities of Bishkek and Osh will be located. Each region and city will build 15 yurts.
“Each region will have its own gate. They will be different and will be built according to the culture and features that characterize that region. For example, from the gate of Osh city, you can see the image of Sulaiman-Too,” said the deputy minister.
He explained that in the yurts, regions and cities will introduce guests to the culture, traditions, and cultural programs of their regions.
“In addition, behind the main stage, yurt villages will be set up for partners, international organizations, artists, dancers and participants of mass events. In total, about 500 yurts will be erected in the area,” the deputy minister said.
A cultural program will also be organized on the main stage with the participation of artists from different countries of the world.
Madaminov said that representatives from different regions of Kyrgyzstan will bring water from their lands - glaciers and springs - in buckets. Then they will carry the water through the Kyrchyn region. Then all the water will be collected in one large container and passed on to the next country as a relay race.
According to the deputy minister, water will be the symbol of the World Nomad Games.
“If the symbol of the Olympic Games is fire, the symbol of the World Nomad Games is water,” he said.
